Morgan Holland is a third-year, undergraduate student studying Food Science and Technology from Lufkin, Texas. As a first-generation college student, research has greatly enriched her education. Her past research experience includes working with a PhD student in the Horticulture department to improve sustainability and nutritional properties of specialty crops. Upon graduation, Morgan intends to pursue a Master of Science degree while continuing to take part in research and innovative projects. Outside of her studies, Morgan enjoys creating new food recipes for her family and friends as well as being involved in two on-campus organizations.

Hi my name is Aaron Feizy and I am a senior Aerspace Engineering student. I love reading, history, funk, philosophy, and of course science. In my free time I like cooking, learning math, watching anime, and taking walks. As a kid I was always inspired by the everlasting effect science has had not only on our quality of life but also on how we choose to live them. I want to realize the idea of human civilization in space and take what we learn to improve life for everyone, out there or down here.

In terms of soft skills, I am adept at conflict resolution, communication, in-field leadership, and when invariably necessary, ideation and improvisation under time pressure. In a more tangibly practical sense, I offer my proficiency in CAD design, my persuasive, communicative, and argumentative skills in writing. Beyond these, I offer my determination to always find an answer even if I don’t know it on demand, and in a more project specific sense, my attempts to always change up the approach with which a problem is viewed, in order to facilitate new and different thought processes, ideas, and solutions.

I know python from ENGR 102, I have taken 2 years of Java and I am currently learning C++. I am good with 3D modelling programs such as Fusion 360 and Solidworks and several others I have used before in High School. I am good at writing up reports and condensing findings from experience in my science classes. If I don’t know something, I am a fast enthusiastic learner and will put in effort to understand.

Nam Nguyen is a junior Mechatronic Engineering major. He is a member of TAMU Robomaster team and a member of Corps of Cadets. He enjoy reading science fiction books and listening to music.

My name is Rebecca Cunningham, and I’m a freshman biomedical engineering major. Some of my hobbies include swimming, trail biking, drawing, painting, and keeping up with my four aquariums. Although I am not a native Texan, I’m a second-generation Aggie and super excited to be here. I was born in North Carolina and moved around for my whole childhood due to being a military brat. Some of the places that I’ve lived are California, Norway, Rhode Island, Nebraska, and of course Texas. My family has been here for six years now, which is the longest that I’ve every lived anywhere.

Alwin Mathew graduated from Texas A&M in biomedical engineering, focusing on biomaterials and tissue engineering. Alwin is very interested in medicine and how engineering techniques and principles can be implemented in healthcare. This passion allowed him to work with large engineering and biotech companies, such as Stryker. Alwin is very interested in the future of technology, and likes to see how he can help push past conventional limits. Instead of accepting what is possible today, Alwin likes to see how engineering can bring the future into the present.

Christine Nguyen is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Creativity and Cognition. Her undergraduate pursuits include being a researcher under the guidance of Dr. Heili Pals, interpreting data from the Kaplan Longitudinal and Multigenerational Study (KLAMS) to observe racial disparity in depression, anxiety, and self-deprecation over the life-course. Her aim in this project is to incorporate her knowledge over sociology, learning processes and educational psychology in developing a livable space habitat that accommodates for the social and psychological necessities of humanity, integrating a comfortable balance between human processes and machine applications. She ultimately aspires to build the best learning conditions for future youth in a space habitat. Outside of school, Christine explores a multitude of crafts ranging from needle felting to plush-making, while also caring for her precious corgi.

My name is Sriya, and I am from Sugar Land, TX. I am going to be a freshman next year and am majoring in biochemistry. I also hope to obtain minors in Statistics or Computer Science and Spanish. I love being creative and designing things, so I am very excited to participate in a project that will require being resourceful to devise a viable habitat in a challenging environment like space. I am also interested in sustainability, so I look forward to learning how different technologies can be used to efficiently power a Space Habitat while producing little waste.
